Features of Goals

The characteristics of goals are as follows:

1) Specific

The goals specify targets to be completed and the duties to be fulfilled. This would assist the managers in evaluating the performance at everyday durations. An ideal intention has to deal with essential issues necessary for the enterprise’s fulfillment. It is one of the features of goals.

2) Realistic and Challenging

An organizational goal must be practical in addition to challenging. If the aim is realistic, the employees might also find it achievable and may get demotivated. But, the goal has to additionally not be too clean. It must be hard enough to inspire the personnel to improve their performances by searching for new and innovative approaches to sporting out the organizational sports. 

3) Time Constraints

Another vital function of an organizational aim is that there needs to be a time- length associated with which it has to be completed. It is one of the features of goals. It affords a cut-off date to the employees and bosses so that they may be inspired to enhance overall performance to attain fulfillment in the time constraint.

4) Measurable

The goals ought to be quantifiable. It implies that the dreams ought to be measurable so that the final results can be evaluated and progress can be expected. Quantifiable goals are a yardstick for managers and crew members to assess their overall performance.

5) Level-Oriented Goals

An intention must be set to cope with essential troubles. The top and center-level managers are accountable for such lengthy-time-period dreams. On the other hand, quick-term goals should be addressed through decreased-level managers. It is the features of goals. For example, upper and center-degree managers desire quality management and cost reduction. Employee motivation and performance assessment are the goals of decreasing level managers.

6) Commitment
